This 5 Year Blogiversary Celebration isn’t about us – it’s about YOU. We know we’re lucky to have so many awesome readers and followers who all care deeply about keeping kids safe in and around motor vehicles. We want to reward you for supporting us throughout these last 5 years and the best reward we could think of was another incredible giveaway promotion!
We’ve partnered with our generous friends at The First Years/TOMY to give away one of their new True Fit SI C680 convertible seats! This is the updated True Fit Premier model with enhanced side-impact protection. It still has the awesome anti-rebound bar feature and the removable upper headrest portion. The True Fit SI C680 is rated from 5-35 lbs. rear-facing and from 23-65 lbs. forward-facing. It’s a tall seat and great option for extended rear-facing with kids who weigh less than 35 lbs. The new True Fit SI is on our list of recommended seats and we will have a review of this new model in the near future.
This promotion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated! A winner will be announced soon!
Are you ready for the rules? Here’s the deal – a winner will be chosen from this blog entry or from any other previous 2013 CarseatBlog.com comment. So, just to be clear – you enter by leaving us thoughtful comments on this and any other non-giveaway blogs posted this year. We’ve had a bunch! Carseat reviews, vehicle reviews, other product reviews, guest posts, news updates, conference updates, funny parenting-related posts – they’re all potential winning tickets! If you are already a frequent CarseatBlog commenter then you’re already in the running to win but feel free to add a few more comments to increase your chances! The comments left should be thoughtful and related to the blog they’re commenting on (for example, don’t leave a comment on the BoostAPak Vs. BubbleBum blog that says “entering for the TF” or “thanks”). The more 2013 non-giveaway blogs you comment on, the more entries you get! Capice?
All eligible comments posted on this blog and previous blogs prior to 11 PM Eastern Time on 7/14 will count as an entry for this giveaway. If you post more than once on any one particular blog only the first comment will count as an entry.
Winner must have a U.S. shipping address. Canada is excluded – sorry!
Now for the fine print:
You are not eligible if you have previously won a carseat or any sponsor giveaway at CarseatBlog.com during 2012 or 2013 (our own giveaways of bags and such don’t count if no sponsor was mentioned). Current blog writers and editors are also not eligible. Only one entry per household/family, please. If you leave more than one comment, only the first one will count.
We reserve the right to deem any entry as ineligible for any reason, though this would normally only be done in the case of a violation of the spirit of the rules above. We also reserve the right to edit or update the rules if necessary.
The giveaway promotion will close on Sunday night, 7/14, and a random winner will be chosen on Monday, 7/15. If a winner is deemed ineligible based on shipping restrictions or other issues or does not respond to accept the prize within 30 days, a new winner will be selected.
Good luck!
Please note: If this is your first comment at CarseatBlog, or if you are using a different computer/device or a new email address, your comment may not appear immediately. It will not be lost; it may just take a few hours for it to be approved. Thank you for your understanding and patience as this is the only way we have to reduce comment spam.
Winner will have their choice of available C680 fashions!

I’ve always wanted to try a TFP! Hope I win!
I love this blog and the forums. I have learned so much and it is great to be able to ask questions of people who know what they are talking about. It would be great to have an extra seat for dad’s car or to make sure our friends ride safely with us. I found out about the ProSport through the review here and my son and I both love it. He will be safe in it for a long time to come.
The true-fit looks like it would be a great choice for my 4yr old.
I’ve been reading that not only weight but height limits on rear facing are important (and FF). We outgrew height before weight and that’s my concern for longevity in RF. I’ll look for the info on this seat and look forward to the review of the newest model.
Looks like a great seat, though I’d prefer a 40lb rf limit. Nice colors, though!
What an amzing giveaway! Congrats on your Blogaversary!
My friend is expecting her first baby this fall and has decided she would like to use True Fit from birth. I have two requests of the First Years/Tomy: PLEASE raise the rear facing weight limit to at least 40lbs. The seat has such a nice tall back, it’s one of the few seats where babies meet the rf weight limit before height. The next request is more superficial. Please put the pattern on the actual car seat and not just the insert. I love the new plaid pattern, but once the baby outgrows the insert, you’re left with just red/gray and a tiny bit of plaid on the harness covers. I would love a True Fit for when I have kids, but I really want to have at least a 40lb rear facing weight limit.
Love that you can use this car seat for a smaller baby, 5 pounds, and still use it for a lot longer as the baby grows into a toddler! It looks comfortable for car ride sleeping too! Thanks for the information on this car seat blogger, as I didn’t know this particular car seat existed:)
My baby finally outgrew her first car seat, so we purchased a Britax Marathon 70 G3. Spendy little thing, but I like how solid it seems compared to so many other models. I’ve been perusing this blog in hopes to find a second seat, less expensive but equally sturdy, to keep in my husband’s truck. This giveaway model looks great (but a wee bit out of budget) for my backup seat.
The reviews and other info on this blog are such a great resource to me. The amount of detail they go into including questions is never think to ask have taught me so much! Thank you!
Happy to see a new seat, but disappointed with the 35 lb rear facing limit. This seat should be a real contender for extended harnessing but falls short with its lower weight limit.
We have a true fit for my 2 year old son and it has worked great for keeping him rear facing. I would love to have another for my daughter once she outgrows her infant seat!
I am totally in love with the pink/black!!
This is a beautiful car seat. I know a young family that really needs new seats for their two little ones. If I win it, that’s where it will go.
would LOVE one of these!!!!
I loved my son’s True Fit back in 2009! I would love to have that black and pink seat!!
The first version of the TrueFit was my very first convertible that I bought. Thanks for giving me a moment of nostalgia! I’m really digging the black and pink combo!
I love that this carseat is rear or front facing. We are about to have our first child, so I am already in that “paranoid over everything mom phase” and I must admit that this car seat puts my mind at ease! The yellow one is adorable too 🙂
Looking at this to replace my coccoro. Would love to win it instead 😉 thanks for being such a great wealth of carseat info. I’ve learned a lot in the last few years!
I love how so many manufacturers are making seats with higher weight limits for rear facing. It gives special needs kids much better alternatives for car transportation.
From the product description, this seems like a decent car seat. I would like the rear facing weight limit to be a little higher. The 40-45 lb limit of some of its contenders make them more appealing to me. I do have small babies though, (my almost 4yo just broke 30lbs) so that may be a non-issue. I’m also interested by the anit-rebound bar as I have no knowledge of it, whatsoever. Anxiously awaiting the full review!
I love the blue color on that True Fit. I have always wanted to try the truefit but have not had the opportunity. I have the perfect kids for it. Tiny and average height.
Please consider me! I would give the True Fit to my cousin for his 9 month old son. He is a newly single dad (an amazing one, btw!). He has loads of family support, but could use a new convertible car seat soon. His is a hand-me-down that will expire. Please, please consider us! He’s very safety conscious, went to an infant car seat training class..and he me teach him how to use the convertible. A true fit would be perfect!!!
This site is great! There are so many resources and great reviews that it is making it hard to decide on a car seat!
