This new model is a modification of the original Pria 70 and does not include the TinyFit™ system insert. Since this particular model lacks the additional insert, it isn’t suitable for preemies or small newborns because the lowest harness position measures around 8.5″ and the minimum weight requirement is 9 lbs. This seat is rated from 9-40 lbs rear-facing and from 22-70 lbs forward-facing.

The Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 is an excellent seat for older babies and for extended rear-facing. It offers great rear-facing leg room, ridiculous amounts of padding and Air Protect® Side Impact Technology. In the forward-facing position, it’s a tall seat with great leg support that will last many kids until they’re old enough and mature enough to safely transition to a belt-positioning booster. I’m not super familiar with this brand but they look very comfy and I love all the colors! I prefer the portable car seats with separate bases for the first year or so but this would be perfect to move my little one into after she outgrows her infant seat.
