Today the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall involving Graco Inclined Sleeper products that were sold as accessory products with select Graco Pack ‘n Play Playard Models. ONLY THE INCLINED SLEEPER IS RECALLED. The rest of the Pack ‘n Play Playard is safe and not affected by this recall. However, if you own any of these recalled Pack ‘n Play models – please stop using the Inclined Sleeper product IMMEDIATELY and visit the Graco Recall Website where you can start the process of obtaining a refund for the inclined sleeper accessory: https://recalls.gracobaby.com/

Recalled Playard Models that were sold with inclined sleepers:

  • Graco Pack ‘n Play Day2Dream Playard & Bedside Sleeper
  • Graco Pack ‘n Play Rock ‘n Grow Playard
  • Graco Pack ‘n Play Everest Playard
  • Graco Pack ‘n Play Nuzzle Nest Playard

Honestly, if you own ANY inclined sleeper product made by any company, you should stop using it IMMEDIATELY and check with the manufacturer to see if it’s already recalled. If it’s not already recalled (many are), chances are it will be soon so please don’t use it, or pass it down to someone else or offer it up for sale. Amazon, BuyBuyBaby, Walmart & Ebay BANNED the sale of infant inclined sleepers 12 months ago, in December 2019, after 73 reported infant deaths associated with the use of these types of products. However, some of these Graco Pack ‘n Play models apparently continued to be available in some places. According to the info provided in the recall, The Graco Day2Dream Playard & Bedside Sleeper (pictured below) was manufactured until September 2020 and the Rock ‘n Grow Playard (also pictured below) was made until April 2020.

In this latest recall of inclined sleeper products, Graco states:

There have been no reported infant injuries or fatalities in these Graco inclined sleeper accessories but out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with new safety regulation, Graco asks consumers to immediately stop use of the inclined sleeper accessory. Please contact Graco to receive a recall kit to render the accessory unusable and return proof for a refund.

The inclined sleeper accessory is the only portion of the playard that is being recalled. Consumers can continue to use the playard, changing station and bassinet portions of the products without the inclined sleeper accessory according to the owner’s manual.

Graco is offering refunds for the value of the recalled inclined sleeper accessory. Please have your product near for next steps to obtain a recall kit.
