We both reside in Orange County, NY and we both care about the children in our local community! This past weekend Orange County Choppers hosted a child safety event at their world headquarters in Newburgh. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to work the carseat check portion of the event. I had no one to watch the kids and the weather was really lousy all day so I didn’t want to take them with me (it was outside). I was really bummed out about not being there for the check but I still managed to get a light blue OCC “Fan Club” T-shirt in a youth kid size that I’m offering up as a give-away. I realize this isn’t anywhere near as good as a $43 MA but at least you can count on actually getting this “prize” if you win. All you have to do is be the first person to guess the right number of CRs that were checked at that event and you win! One guess per person.
Note to Marvin’s loyal and devoted fans: Marvin is taking a much-deserved break today but he promises to be back next week! ld safety event at the OCC world headquarters in Newburgh
all ways cool…
That’s just so great that they did this!!
I love this show, too, because the guys are just really approachable and seem down to earth.
I’ve never seen any kids on it, but they have always appeared very safety concious in all other respects.
I’m sorry you missed out.
Yup! I’m in southern Orange – about 30 minutes from Newburgh. 🙂
Kecia, you are in Orange county? I am just over the border in Ulster, like 10 minutes from Newburgh!
Congratulations to Leslie aka cowgirlsmommy! The total # of seats checked that day was a mere 15 due to the bad weather so Leslie’s guess was the closest. Please send your address to Kecia “at” carseatblog “dot” com.

Okay – slight change of rules here otherwise this is clearly going to take forever. LOL!
The total number of seats checked was under 50. So, if your first guess was a number over 50 then you get to guess again. If no one picks the exact number by tomorrow morning then the closest guess will be the winner! 🙂
