    What are your thoughts on open box carseats from Amazon when it states that the original packaging is damaged? I saw some open box deals on the Graco Nautilus for around $80. I also saw deals on the Nautilus on target.com for $107. Target is also having their carseat trade-in event where you can get a coupon for 20% off, but it seems that certain seats on target.com are already over 20% off. Can the carseat trade-in coupon only be used in store?

      Hi Elyse, Open box items are often returned items. Some people return things for any reason, as we all have, most of which don’t involve damage or safety issues. If it’s an Amazon Warehouse deal, you do get Amazon’s return policy if there is any concern. I think the open box deals are usually fine, but there’s always a very some chance someone damaged something and didn’t report it, of course. I am not sure about using the trade-in coupon online, sorry.

      Hi Allison, Nuna rarely has sales at all, and usually only on discontinued items in specific fashions. We did post the Nordstrom Anniversary sale last month on this page and on our facebook page. Some Rava fashions were $50 off. That’s the only sale I’ve seen in some time, sorry. Free shipping and free returns to a Nordstrom store is a better than average deal on the Rava.

    Babies r is just announced 25% off all car seats for the month of sept. I’m looking at the Chicco keyfit. Does it ever get lower then $150? That’s the sales price st the moment. Ty

      $150 is a pretty good deal. Perhaps it might go a little lower on a discontinued fashion or Prime Day or Black Friday on specific colors, but not on a general sale that I recall recently.

    Are prime day deals generally better than Black Friday deals or should I hold off if my little one isn’t coming until Christmas time? Even if he or she came early, I have an in Date infant seat from my son that could hold us over until Black Friday, we’re just wanting an all in one for our extra car.

      They’re about the same, Ashley. Sometimes there are deeper discounts on particular fashions because they’ve been discontinued, but it’s hard to say which ones those will be or when that will happen.

      Hi Marci, we will be adding new Prime Day deals as we get them! Our Deals list includes all current good deals that are below the usual or recent selling price. The only exception is the small group at the top under “Select Editors’ Picks”. That lists any current price, good deal or typical price, for best selling carseats that are on our Editors’ Pick list of Recommended Carseats. All the other Deals by section should be better than usual prices, unless the retailer has changed the price or ended the deal.

    Beware! We purchased our Clek Fllo on Amazon and realized too late that Amazon is not a Clek-authorized retailer, meaning the WARRANTY IS VOIDED…We have a (smallish) problem with the seat now (1 month in), and it looks like we’re out of luck for warranty coverage. It does say in the Clek warranty that it must be purchased from an authorized retailer, but who reads the warranty ahead?

    Was looking into boosters for my twins and found that the Evenflo Spectrum is $31.38 at WalMart’s website right now, at least in the pink color. That’s half off the MSRP.

    Im trying to buy pria 85 deal on amazon. I added 25 gift card and tried to check out but it wont do any discount on that. How do you get that deal?

      Kelly, it just worked for me. The discount is taken off before the $25 GC is applied, but since the 20% discount plus tax is roughly the same price as the GC, the total appears to be the same as if the discount wasn’t ever taken off. Perhaps that’s what you’re seeing?

    Target has their car seats on sale right now and they also have a cyber monday deal online and in stores for an additional 15% off anything you buy. That’s the best deal I could find.

    hi! looking to buy a convertible car seat (can’t decide if i want to get the nextfit, extend2fit, or a britax)

    Are the sales now the best or will they probably get better closer to January?

    The nextfit is 200 at babies r us but most of the time BRU is so overpriced. Not sure if hteyre still doing the $200 off i can’t find it now.
    The extend2fit is something like 160 plus 15% off.

      Mag, the sales won’t get any better than they are now. You can try to catch clearance seats when a model is clearanced because a fashion is retired, but then you’re looking at a carseat that may have already lost a year of its lifespan. FWIW, BRU doesn’t set the price on Chicco products, so they’re pretty much the same across the board.

      Hi Rob, I’m not sure what the original price is in Canadian dollars but if it’s a discount of 20% off the regular price then go for it! I don’t think it’s going any lower than 20% off.
