We had so many new and exciting things to see on the first day of the show that we neglected to tell you about Graco! We can’t reiterate enough how big and overwhelming this show really is but as usual, Graco did not disappoint. So, what’s Graco got going on? Well, plenty. They are in the process of converting their SnugRide infant seat line to “Click Connect”, which is the stroller connection designation (you know, how it clicks into the stroller). When they said that, we all had a V-8 moment. Click Connect means it’s a one-step snap onto the stroller – it has nothing to do with how the carrier connects to the base or the base to the vehicle.
Coming in 2013 – the SnugRide “Classic Connect” which is the original 22 lb rated SnugRide. The term “Classic Connect” means the carrier attaches to the stroller via red handles on the stroller frame that flip over to secure the carrier. Also coming next year – SnugRide Click Connect 30, SnugRide Click Connect 35 & SnugRide Click Connect 35LX. And don’t forget the SnugRide Click Connect 40 which is already available at BRU. Is your head spinning yet?

Cool urban jogger with really awesome fold feature:
@Sarah – we’ll be sure to ask Graco that question next week when Heather & I attend the Lifesavers Conference in Denver. Stay tuned to the blog for updates from the conference!
I like the classic connect, because they are compatible with BOBs, Bumbleride strollers etc and with the click connect you’re limited to only a Graco stroller. The click connect 40 is really great otherwise. Any idea if Graco plans to improve the classic connect infant car seats for the no-rethread and push-button latch as well?
Any hope of upping the minimum booster age to 4?
Is it just me or does the handle really resemble the keyfits?
Oh wow, I actually learned why it was called the Click Connect in my retail training last month. I should have shared that valuable info, huh? Anyway, It’s really, really a vast improvement over the Classic. Air-High-Five to Graco for making such a nifty system. Still doesn’t make up for not putting a lockoff on every base, though 😉
Flash cards! LOL! Not a bad idea…
FYI – I added a stock pic of the SRCC 30 (courtesy of Graco)to the blog since I was remiss in getting a good overall shot of that seat at the show.
Why… Why Graco? Would it have been that hard to come up for a different infant seat name?
I think I need flash cards to memorize the new names and features!
Any idea if that Affix backless booster is narrower than the Turbo?
the names for the infant seats will make it easier to tell one from the other, so I like that.
I also like the new latchable booster… but I’d like to see their backless boosters go higher in weight limit… kids need to be in boosters until they pass the 5-step test and most kids are over 100lbs when that happens… I’d like to see a nice 120lb weight limit be standard for boosters.
