In other BT news:
Now there are 3 versions of Snap Gear infant seats. 30, 32 & 35 pound versions.
The newest version has a 35 pound, 32 inch limit. Lockoff and easy to tighten LATCH mechanism.
You have no idea how happy this makes me!!!! I have grieved the expiry of our current true fits that new baby won’t get to enjoy long-term 😛 Maybe they’ll change their minds on the lockoff, and add them to mid-levels, too?
I love my True Fit, but I don’t like the look of that headrest on the new seats. I’m not sure why, maybe it just looks way to enclosed on a seat that wide. It looks weird to me. Who knows, maybe I’d like it better in person. Just my initial thoughts on it though.
I like the look of the new bases…
The shoulder pads irritate me on the convertibles, like the chest clips have no chance of being high enough on small babies.
So I feel a little “uncool” for not knowing — but what are they supposed to look familiar to? Are these Baby Trend seats that were discontinued and now are back? Or did they buy the design rights of another manufacturer’s seats? The booster reminds me of the Harmony Folding Booster and the convertible reminds me of that Lamaze seat — TrueFit?
The convertible is the reincarnated The First Years True Fit and the booster is the Compass folding booster. It looks as thought baby trend is picking up what Tomy left.
I just wish the seats all had the lock offs.
LOL! I thought I was crazy!
Thanks!
