When we received the opportunity to give away Graco’s new Nautilus Car Seat featuring Safety Surround Side Impact Protection, we jumped at the chance! After all, “Graco Nautilus” is one of the top search terms that bring readers to CarseatBlog and to our community forum at Car-Seat.org. So many of our readers love the Nautilus that we’ve reviewed the Nautilus Elite not once, but twice. The Safety Surround Side Impact Protection platform represents Graco’s most comprehensive safety for car seats. On their packaging they claim “best head protection,” so we anticipate a nice improvement from the standard Nautilus in our upcoming review of the Nautilus with SafetySurround. And did you know Graco will soon be using improved buckles on many of their carseats, including Nautilus?
Exclusively at Target for now, it currently sells for $179.99 (MSRP $209.99) and comes in the Atlas fashion, which is neutral, solid black and gray. They also have two fashions available online – Lucky and Berri. The Nautilus is a popular combination seat – with all positions facing forward – it starts out in a 5-point harness and then converts to a highback booster and finally to a backless booster. The Nautilus “3-in-1” Car Seat with Safety Surround accommodates a child forward facing from 20 – 65 pounds and from 27 – 52 inches tall in the harness mode. Then, in highback booster mode it’s designed for a child from 30 – 100 pounds and from 38 – 57 inches tall. Finally, it can be used in backless booster mode from 40 – 100 pounds and from 40 – 57 inches.
This promotion is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated. A winner will be announced soon!
The big news on this seat is the addition of Safety Surround Side Impact Protection. This is a platform that Graco has rolled out in other seats (including TurboBooster with Safety Surround, Head Wise 70 with Safety Surround and My Ride 65 with Safety Surround), and it means that the seat meets both Graco’s Side Impact Testing and Europe’s draft Side Impact Standard. It’s a rigorously crash tested platform and gives children superior side impact protection at each stage of development. Because of all of this, Graco claims that the seat offers the “best” head protection at each stage / mode. Nautilus is engineered and crash tested to meet and exceed US Standard FMVSS213. The Nautilus Car Seat with Safety Surround is packed with the same great features the other members of the Nautilus family have. It has a steel-reinforced frame. It easily adjusts to three recline settings and has a one-hand, adjustable headrest that easily adapts to your growing toddler’s needs. There are two storage compartments (large enough for small toys or games and snacks) and an integrated cup holder. The crotch belt cover is used to keep a hot buckle from touching the child, too.
But what you really want to know is how can you join our giveaway? We know we’ve been years behind the latest giveaway technology, and frankly, have avoided doing so until now in order to give our sponsors a better chance to work with us on giveaway terms and selecting a winner. We also prefer to keep the number of entries a little smaller for most of our giveaways, in order to give a better chance to our loyal readers and feed followers! Nonetheless, we’re going to try this newfangled Rafflecopter thing-a-ma-jig and let you earn extra entries as well by using Facebook and Twitter! We will be using it periodically on some future giveaways, also. The main benefit to you? Almost everyone with a U.S shipping address is eligible, with exceptions including Heather, Kecia, me and employees of Graco and their related companies/affiliates. Since Rafflecopter selects the winner using Random.org (the same website we use for most of our random giveaways), we trust them to do it right!
To enter, you must leave a comment in response to this blog. Any ‘ol comment works! Just say, “Entering” will do. You are also welcome (but it’s not necessary) to tell us how much you love the Nautilus or Graco in your comment if you wish:-) Or maybe even tell us a good (clean!) joke. For extra entries, be sure follow the Rafflecopter instruction and Like our Facebook page and/or tweet about our giveaway to your friends as well! Since we will probably be getting more entries than normal, Graco is generously allowing us to give away 3, that’s right, THREE Graco Nautili (Nautilae?) with Safety Surround; one Nautilus to each of three separate winners. Our first prize winner will have their choice of fashions among Atlas, Berri and Lucky. Our second prize winner will have their choice of the remaining two fabrics. The third prize winner will get whatever fashion was not selected by the first and second prize winners! If there is any discrepancy, CarseatBlog and/or Graco Baby reserve the right to alter the terms of the contest and distribution of the first, second and third prizes at our own discretion.
This giveaway will close on Sunday evening, July 28th, with winner announced within about 48 hours. For complete terms and to enter the contest, please see the Rafflecopter information below:

I would love to win this for my daughter!
We have used Peg Perego, Safety 1st, and Graco car seats with our daughter. We are now going to use Graco car seats exclusively. Just bought the Click Connect 35 for our son who is due at the end of August. We prefer the buckle setup for strapping our daughter in and the install of the seats is very easy. We have been very happy with our Graco carseats!

I would love to win the green or black one for my baby boy
I would love to win this for my daughter!
Looks super secure
And safe!
I can’t wait to buy this car seat! We loaned our other one out (brand new) and when they returned it they had ruined it.
Would love to have another of these! By far my favorite seat I’ve ever had 🙂
Would be great from when my little one gets bigger
I would love the Nautilus to pass on to a friend. We love ours.
I could use this for my son!
I love the SIP upgrade on the new Nautilus! Question: Did they happen to change the crotch strap/buckle settings on this seat to make them more adjustable for larger kids?
I would love to win and use this seat for my little one. She is still rear facing, but this seat would be great for when shes big enough to forward face. Our infant seat and stroller is Graco and we love them!
Thank you!
I would love to win this seat! We have been very happy with our My Ride 65 w/ ssp so this would be our next step.
I like that the nautilus can keep them harnessed until 65lbs/52″ and that it’s easy to use. I would to have one for a little later when i have to turn my now 2.25 year old around.
Love the Graco size4me that we have for our oldest!! Our youngest needs a carseat soon and needs to get out of her bucket seat.
Would love to try one of these for my son. He will be outgrowing hit infant bucket carrier really soon.
Both of my boys have one of these…I would love one for my daughter.
We would love this car seat for our two year old!!
I’m a big fan of Graco products. With our first child, we were given and purchased numerous baby company products- and we learned over time that all of Graco stuff outlasted the rest. We were very pleased with the quality whether it be the first infant seat, the stroller, a swing, or whatever- we just liked the Graco stuff better. Now, we are due with baby boy #2 in September and the majority of “wants” are Graco products. Oh, and another car seat would definitely come in handy at this point!
I’d love this for my middle kiddo. We have a Myride65 that I’d like to pass on to her little sister that we love!

We currently have two Graco Nautilus’ for two of our boys! And it’d be great to have another for our fourth! They are a great comfy seat!
