Lots of great new and updated products coming soon from Graco! They also had an awesome spread at their booth with a mac ‘n cheese bar, cookie bar, wine and ice cold beer! Did I mention ice cold beer? I decided it was 5 pm somewhere and had to have one (…or two). Darren promtly followed my lead. Then we asked the bartender to take our picture. Heather was the designated blogger so she did the responsible thing and passed on the adult beverages. 😉
In real news, there’s a change to the popular SnugRide 35 infant seat. A lower body insert cushion has been added and the seat now has a 4 lb minimum weight rating. The unique insert raises a smaller baby up to the lowest bottom harness slots and a portion of the insert goes under the crotch strap which really helps to position the buckle in a more appropriate position. Heather tried her preemie doll in it (yes, she carries her own) and the fit was pretty darn good. We were impressed! This new model will start shipping next month (October).

Canadian news on the My Ride: they’re in the final stages of testing. Soon!
Any new update on when the my size 65 will be out?? My 7 month old is gonna need a new seat soon and I love the look of the prototype. I was gonna get a symphony but than I saw this and now am second guessing.
@Monica – I don’t think it’s going to be any taller than the original. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised if it is but don’t count on it.
Anyone know the maximum height to be used with the new Turbo? Really hoping for something taller than the original.
I’m curious how WIDE the new My Size will be. The My Ride is SO wide on the top!
I would also love to see them get rid of the hideous new buckles.
The upgraded Turbobooster looks AWESOME.
Any idea where I can find the My Ride 65 that’s pictured in Black, Grey and Pink?
thanks kecia!
Does the new turbobooster have latch connectors? Thanks! Deciding whether to buy one now or wait.
@ ericanc – no, the new Turbo booster models will not have any way to attach to the vehicle’s lower anchors
I really hope they aren’t going to keep the hard to use buckles. Any news of a fix for that?
I agree with the poster above, it would be really nice to see a dedicated “boy” color. I love, love the bright blue turbo and wish they could do something similar for the MyRide/MySize instead of just a gender neutral seat and a girly seat. I’m really excited about the new Graco seats and I’m planning to buy one next year when my son outgrows his Coccoro. I also think it’s really awesome how Graco has managed to create a high weight limit seat do all of these improvements and still make a seat that is under $200 and is generally affordable/accessible to many parents. Some of the features seen on these seats were previously only available to parents who could spend the money on really high end seats.
Well done Graco!
