Because we all love a good round of “Name that Carseat”! The first person to correctly identify the Manufacturer and Model Name of this expired CR will win a small box of giveaway goodies from the KIM Conference (plus whatever else I can find to throw into a USPS flat rate shipping box)! Only one guess per person. If you reply more than once, only your first guess will count. With the exception of Darren, Heather, the people who actually attended the recent KIM Conference in Orlando and the person I got this seat from – everyone else is eligible to play and win. If you’re in Canada and you win – you must agree to pay the additional shipping costs and customs’ fees. Happy guessing!
We have a winner! Here are the follow-up pics:
Sorry, Heather. We did miss you! And if you’re sad about being excluded from winning the KIM giveaway loot just remind yourself that you’ll be rolling in the stuff at ABC in just a few short weeks!
Haha! Yeah. TSA. My favorite agency in the world. But I’m sad I didn’t get to participate in the contest :(. After all, I didn’t get to float in the Lazy River, er, go to KIM.
I can totally imagine the TSA agents at the airport screening bugging out about the wires and the little box mounted at the bottom!
I know that it was supposed to warn you when the attachment to the car (seatbelt or lower anchor belt) was loose and I think if the child buckled, but I don’t remember. We never used the alarm because it would randomly go off in the middle of a drive to warn us the attachments was loose (it wasn’t). It has been 5 years since I heard the warnings and don’t remember what they said.
We only used it as a travel seat, it was light, easy to install, fit in all airplane seats and worked well on our luggage cart as a stroller. When we had an issue getting through security once because of the wires, my husband cut off the part to attach to the seatbelt. It would still sometimes get stopped in the X-ray machine because of the little box underneath.
Seriously! They both came up with the right answer faster than I expected. And KQ was right that there were 2 different Tattle Tale CR models from Lenox – this one was the convertible based on the Dorel Touriva shell and the other was a combo seat also based on a Dorel shell. Both seats had the ability to “Tattle” when the kid unbuckled the harness and/or the CR was unbuckled (I can’t remember if it did both but hopefully lilypadmom will chime in since this was her seat). It was a good concept but really overpriced considering it was just a Touriva with EPS foam and a nicer cover. Anyhow, I’m adding more pics which show the CR name and the Tattle Tale box mounted to the underside of the shell.
Clearly our readers are too smart for you Kecia! Perhaps we need to make them guess the date of manufacture, too!
Ding, ding! We have a winner – Christineka! What took you so long? 😉 j/k, that was wicked quick!
Yes folks, it’s the long lost but unforgetable Lenox Tattle Tale convertible! More pics to follow.
Christine – please send me a PM with your address and I’ll get your KIM loot in the mail asap!
(Oh drat, Christine got that before me. Though my guess was the convertible- there were 2 models, the Convertible and the FF only Toddler seat.)
My guess is the Lenox Tattle Tale convertible. No clue how far off base I am, lol.
My best guess is the Lenox Tattletale.
