Since this model doesn’t offer an infant insert, it isn’t designed to accommodate a newborn, and therefore the minimum weight rating is 12 lbs. Wow, this looks like a great seat. With 3 kids in car seats, it’s nice to have features that make install easy and provide a safe and comfortable ride. This seat would be perfect for my 14 month old.
