Do you get sad when your child outgrows a carseat? Maybe they are moving on from rear-facing to forward-facing and you lament about the reduction in safety? Perhaps the carseat was a sentimental favorite? Or maybe you’re happy because you’ve always hated the fashion on the carseat or were looking for an excuse to buy something new?
My son has been mainly riding in boosters for some time. He’s over 9 years old and is now over 4 feet, 7 inches tall and nearly 80 pounds. He’s just about to outgrow the tallest combination seat on the market in 5-point harness mode, the Britax Frontier 90 (or Pinnacle 90). His days as a CarseatBlog model are numbered. I am sad, but he sure is happy!
yes i have a 6yr old female that is already 4 feet tall and she has out grown her regular rear facing booster seat because she is able to touch the floor with her feet and able to look over the midsection of the window what should i do is she able to just be in a seat belt by it self plz help what should i do
I was SO sad when my son outgrew his Britax Advocate 65 rearfacing (he hit 35 lbs). I loved the roomy legroom, the easy install with lower anchors, I could go on…
Now we are still rearfacing at age 5 in a Clek Foonf at 42 lbs.
It was fun to get a new seat though, and the Foonf has awesome legroom too 🙂
DD1 is almost 6 yo and she still has room to grow in her Foonf and Radians. I’m not buying a combination seat at her age (even if a Cowmoo Frontier CT would make us really happy!!). So when she will outgrow all of her convertibles, she will be be in a HBB full-time.
