It seems that everyone is stepping up their game and Evenflo is no exception! There are several exciting, new and improved CRs from Evenflo that are either hitting the shelves now or coming soon.
First up – the highly anticipated Securekid 300 & Securekid 400 based on the Maestro platform. These new combination seats offer a higher weight limit on the 5-pt harness, an adjustable head support, deeper side wings and premium LATCH connectors. These are going to be very popular seats – I guarantee it!
Securekid 300: 20-65 lbs with harness, 30-100 lbs HBB, has premium push-on lower LATCH connectors and deep headwings with EPP foam, SI tested to Aussie standard, shipping December, $129

New Embrace 35 infant seat: 4-35 lbs, fits preemie doll really well, anti-rebound handle position, under $100, shipping now
New Big Kid Amp patterns:
New “Loudmouth” fashions:
Symphony 65 e3: I <3 this seat!
I’m really loving all the new evenflo stuff!
BOBANDJESS – I did not verify but since it’s allowed on all Evenflo combo seats (unless there is some issue like offset LAs) I’m pretty sure it will be allowed on the Securekid. Still, I will confirm with Evenflo and let you know. I need to confirm the wt min on the new ESR35 too.
Did you verify the latch can be used on the secure kid when it is in BOOSTER mode?
Man, we could totally be a test family for one of the new Evenflo combos! I’ll be in the market before too long for a combo seat, b/c my 3 yr old will soon outgrow his Blvd and ETA (he’s tall and long torsoed!). Can’t wait to see those!
Stacy – until I have the seats side by side, I can’t judge yet. But I’m getting a review sample soon and I have a KF30, a SS1 (old SR32/35) and an onBoard35 in my training collection so I’ll compare them all to the new Embrace 35.
Anti-rebound handle position! Sweet! I can’t say I forsee it being used correctly MUCH more often than the handle-must-be-down seats, but at least it should fit better in more cars. 🙂
how long will the infant seat last? (embrace 35) comparable to the onboard’s and chicco at least?
Cookie123 – not sure if the ESR35 is starting at 5 lbs or 4. I think the new one is starting at 4 but I’m not sure so don’t hold me to that. The SK300/400 shouldn’t be any wider since they’re based on the same shell. I think it’s just the contrast on the fabric making it look that way.
Do you know the weight range for the Secure Ride?
Are the SK 300 & 400 looking a lot wider than the Maestro?
SK300 & 400 share the Maestro shell so harness slots heights are exactly the same. HTH!
Jourdysmom – can’t believe I forgot to add wt ranges for SK300 & 400. Updating blog now – thanks!
Wendy – Embrace 35 still mandates 1.5″ of clearance and still won’t allow handle up in vehicle but will allow the forward anti-rebound handle position. I think that’s a pretty good alternative with meaningful benefits. We can thank TC for that one!
As for SecureKid – I expect belt fit to be very good since it’s based on Maestro. We’ll be getting a sample to review as soon as it’s available!
The infant seat sounds AWESOME!
What are the limits of the 300 and 400? 50lbs like the Maestro? Does the headrest adjust up for more room? Top harness slots? 🙂
Wait, an Evenflo infant seat that doesn’t require the handle down AND 1.5″ of clearance, goes to 35 pounds, and is under $100? Whoa. I need to see that one.
What is the booster like on the Securekids? I don’t see belt guides. Is the fit similar to the Maestro, but with an adjustable headrest?
