Hi Cindy – The NextFit Zip models are selling like hotcakes and Amazon keeps selling out. When that happens they substitute the same product from a different seller but the 25% off discount ONLY applies to Chicco products that are shipped and sold directly from Amazon. For this reason the fashions on sale keep changing. Right now only the Regio fashion of NextFit Zip will be discounted because currently that is the only one in stock at Amazon. As Amazon gets fresh stock of the other fashions – those will be discounted again too.
Kohls has several car seats. They aren’t eligible for coupon use, but you can earn Kohl’s Cash when you purchase one. Right now they are giving $15 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent.
For example, the Diono Monterey is $102. So you would earn $30 in Kohl’s Cash, making it like paying $72. Shipping is free with over $50 purchase.
Plus get 8% cash back from Ebates. =)

Julie no worries at all! Honestly the commissions outside of Amazon, Target and Walmart are not all that great, but every little bit helps pay for hosting costs, expenses and not nearly enough for our time lol;-)

The britax travel system that’s listed as $263 isn’t that price when you click on it. Even in the options section, it shows $263 but is actually 300 something. Only the sandstone is $263 when clicked on…

The bob double stroller is $170 off regular price. My second baby isn’t due until May. Will these deals pop up after the holidays, or should I jump at it now?

I just want to mention the issue of returns. One of the best features of being a Prime member is that Amazon offers free returns on most baby gear they sell directly. If you take advantage of a great deal from Albee Baby or elsewhere – do yourself a favor and research the return policy before you buy. Many retailers (including Albee) require you to ship the item back at your own expense and they will usually charge a “restocking fee” on top of that. You want to be aware of this before you make your decision. With a carseat it is especially important to “try before you buy” unless you’re ordering from Amazon with free returns or from someplace like Target where you can buy online but return the item to a local store for no extra charge if you need to do that.
Good advice! Target and Walmart are pretty liberal with their return policies and almost always accept items ordered online that are returned to local stores. I’ve had great experience with Amazon, not only with free returns, but also with partial refunds if they lower their own price within your 30-day return period. Some online retailers are notorious for charging high return shipping charges and restocking fees, so definitely beware of these unless you are absolutely sure of the item you want and know if fits your child and vehicle well.
FYI the Graco Affix High Back Booster (the one that uses LATCH) is on Kohls website for $48.99 today! No other coupons can be used but I did get cash back with Ebates, earned $15 Kohls Cash and got free shipping (I bought 2). Just thought I’d pass it along to anyone else needing this type of seat!

When is the 20% applied for the chicco key fit in the Amazon cart? I had it in my checkout cart and the discount was never applied. Is there a code or something I need to add?

The Chicco discount at Amazon appears to be hit or miss. Works for some people, not for others, and then only for some of the listed products that are supposed to be included on the deal. Even when it does work for me, it doesn’t appear in my cart. It only appears on the very last checkout page before you click to place the order. So, I have added an asterisk by the Chicco prices as this deal was not very well implemented by Amazon. I just purchased the Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System on Albee Baby.com for $303.99 with the 20% off promo code: BF20. You can use this code on any full priced item on their website and you get free shipping on orders that are $49+
I just tried to order the Chicco Cortina keyfit 30 travel system and didn’t get the 20% off at checkout.
Amazon is usually pretty good at refunding the difference if there is a price drop, or if a coupon code didn’t work. You just have to contact them to ask. Some coupon codes and discounts only apply select fashions, or only to products “In Stock” and “Shipped by” Amazon.com. So you have to be careful that the one you add to your cart isn’t from a third party vendor.
This may seem like a silly question, but are the best car seat deals typically during Black Friday? I don’t really need a new seat for a few more months, so if there’s another time of year that typically has lower prices I can wait. Otherwise, I want to scoop up a deal now! 🙂
Also, do you have any experience buying seats on diapers.com? I want a Britax CT but I obviously don’t want them to send one that was part of the recall. Would any retailers still have those in their stock?
Hi Jessica. Last year we didn’t see a huge sale on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Amazon seemed to do what it’s doing now, which is sales leading up to those days. The Britax CT seats just went to their best prices TODAY, so if you’re looking to buy, today is the day–I wouldn’t wait.
I haven’t bought from diapers.com, but I do know people who have and haven’t had complaints. It’s illegal to sell recalled carseats, so you won’t get a recalled seat from wherever you buy, though we hope you buy from one of our links at Amazon since it supports us :). Thank you!

It looks like all of the Britax convertible seats are 20% off on Amazon today. I’ve mainly been looking at the Clicktight models, but I see several of the G4.1s discounted too.
Hi Christine, Amazon’s “normal” price on the ClickTight models has been 20% off MSRP recently. It’s lower than it used to be, but most retailers have been selling at similar prices for a while now. For example, the Boulevard ClickTight is $296 which is a typical price lately. Did you see a 20% off discount offer below that price? That would be a BIG sale! The Boulevard G4.1 is on sale in Hudson for $215 as of yesterday which is a very good price- we’ve updated our blog to include it.

Is there anyway to receive text alerts when you update? I really would love to know when or if the Diono Rainers go on sale. I missed a deal a few months back waiting to see if there was a better deal and hate to miss it again. Also I have twin boys seated side by side in my Honda pilot; I know the Diono will do great side by side but have discovered the Evenflo Evolve (I think that’s the name) which is much cheaper and am wondering how the two compare. It took me forever to decide between Diono and Britax. Britax ended up being too bulky for my needs. Sorry I know this isnt completely BF related but don’t have anyone else I know to ask about the seats.

But the ones we put there are usually just those that are well below average prices or the lowest price at Amazon in the last few months. If you reply to that thread you should be notified when we add a deal there. We generally update this blog post several times in a 24 hour period as new deals become available.

Best I can tell from the description at Amazon, you just add one of each of those listed on the page we linked and the discount will show up automatically when you checkout.

The Baby Jogger discount works like this, first use our link http://amzn.to/1HkcmXh. Then on that page, click the boxes next to one City Select Stroller at the top, AND one City Select Second Seat Kit below. You can choose the same color or mix and match. Then click “Add to cart”. If you then go to your cart, both will show at normal price. Then click “Proceed to Checkout”. On the next page, in the order summary, you will see a “Baby Jogger” discount for -169.00, refunding the cost of the second seat kit.
Some discounts, like the Chicco discount, change frequently or are subject to stock. For example, the coupon code we posted previously no longer works. Instead, you have to add a fashion that is “In Stock” and “Shipped By” Amazon.com to your cart, then click to “Proceed to Checkout”. On the next screen, it will show the discount applied to your total. The problem is that some fashions are sold by third party retailers instead of Amazon and do not qualify for 25% off. Amazon restocks frequently, so this can change throughout the day so check back often!
