Recall Summary
Columbus Trading-Partners USA, Inc. (CTP) is recalling certain CYBEX models Aton, Aton 2, Aton M, Aton Q and Cloud Q rear-facing infant seats. The design of the adjuster webbing for the central front adjuster allows it to fray, which can reduce the strength of the webbing. As such, these infant seats fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 213, “Child Restraint Systems” and 209, “Seatbelt Assemblies.”
If you are currently using a Cybex infant seat model affected by this recall – you may continue to use the car seat until the replacement harness adjuster strap is mailed to you. If you notice any fraying on the harness adjuster strap, call customer service at 1-877-242-5676.

Remedy
Columbus Trading Partners/CYBEX will mail owners a replacement central adjuster strap assembly and installation instructions, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 13, 2023.
Description of Remedy Program:
CTP/CYBEX is providing all owners of affected Aton, Aton 2, Aton M, Aton Q, and Cloud Q infant car seats a remedy kit, free of charge, that includes a replacement central adjuster strap assembly and instructions for its installation. A link to a video demonstrating the removal of the recalled central adjuster webbing and the installation of the replacement central adjuster strap assembly is included with the instructions.
1. CTP/CYBEX will send remedy kits to registered product owners via mail without any action of the owner.
2. CTP/CYBEX will send remedy kits to product owners that contact CTP/CYBEX via email, telephone, or web contact.
3. CTP/CYBEX will notify dealers and retailers with information that product owners need to receive remedy kits.
For owners and purchasers who incurred costs for remedies for replacing the recalled webbing in advance of February 16, 2023, please contact CYBEX customer service at 1-877-242-5676. Please consult your product’s Warranty for additional information.
How Replacement Strap Differs from Original Strap:
- The recalled webbing has one end folded over and sewn. The remedy/replacement webbing does not have one end folded over and sewn.
- The recalled webbing has 4 woven panels running lengthwise. The remedy/replacement webbing has 2 woven panels running lengthwise.
