Whatever Clek called it, the accompanying documentation would be excellent, and it would be coated with Crypton fabric protector.

Dude, you need to patent that idea before someone beats you to it and makes a fortune off of your “invention”. 😉

With Duct tape being the Great Fixer of All Broken Things, I think the Clek name for the carseat misapplication of Duct Tape would have to be the Clek Kapoot 😉

The video apparently made an impression on my 3-year-old, too. We were video-chatting with DH a few minutes ago, and he mentioned duct tape for some reason. Anna perked up and went, “Duct tape?!” Then she proceeded to explain in great detail how a guy had a boy who unbuckled his car seat, so he had to put duct tape on it so he couldn’t get out again. Itlooks like you’ve made quite an impact on the under-5 demographic.

Jennie, that would have to be Guup.

Too funny! My 3 year old watched the video with me, and then we went out to the car to run an errand. He said, “Mama, duct tape me in so that I don’t wiggle out of my seat!” I tried to explain that it was a joke, but he was not having it. He *really* wanted to get duct taped into his seat!

Too funny. And since duct tape comes in so many different colors now, all you need is a few Paul Frank designs and a funny-sounding name with lots of vowels and you could have the Clek of aftermarket monstrosities ;-D

Dude, if you have duct tape, you don’t even NEED a car seat. Just duct tape the kid to the vehicle seat. Problem solved!
I thought of that, but there are just too many people without a sense of humor that would turn it into something unintended.
I took the video in DW’s car, where Jon rides in a carseat not currently on the market to avoid offending a manufacturer lol!

Haha if only! What seat was he in btw?
Kat_momof3May 31, 2012
I really think it would be easier to duct tape his hands together… but cool invention! and I so LOVE Jonathon totally playing along!

Love it! I think I would have used the duct tape as handcuffs as well (kidding of course…I think.:) Ds3 just started getting out of his MA70 a couple of weeks ago, on the way home from playing with the KWP.
The video was also a bit of a spoof on an “investigative” report from a while back in regard to a consumer’s complaint about a previous generation Britax seat. Granted, it didn’t seem like much investigation was done.

Russ? Is that you?
