We know from our statistics that we get nearly 3000 unique visitors per day on average. We’d love to hear from more of you! If you like our blogs or hate them, or just have something to say about traffic safety, please leave us a comment:-) Comments help us to know what topics are popular for future blogs. They also keep the website fresh, generate good discussions and bring in even more parents looking for information on how to keep your kids safe in cars. It only takes a few seconds to leave one! Feel free to use an anonymous email account if you wish.
Please stay tuned for upcoming reviews we hope to publish in the next few months, including the Maxi Cosi Pria 70, the Safety 1st Go Hybrid, the Graco Snugride 30, the Lexus CT200h, the Buick Enclave, the Toyota Tacoma, the Mazda 5 and the Volvo XC60 and more! We’ll certainly have more carseat reviews and news coming after the KIM conference in August and the ABC Kids Expo in September.
On behalf of CarseatBlog, thank you all very much for your input, from our regular contributors to first time commenters!
I would love more on boosters. The info on the Amp was great. And I would love more information about boosters in difficult situations, such as 3 across and the dreaded non-moving headrests on my XC90. And what about boosters for traveling?
The Expo is huge, like a major auto show or consumer electronics show. Basically, almost anyone who makes anything for kids and babies is there, including most carseat companies. Unlike those other trade shows that are mainly for the public, the ABC show is intended primarily for buyers from retailers to see products from manufacturers and wholesalers. Many companies do show new products and upcoming ones there, sometimes to everyone and sometimes privately.
We love the private invitations, but many of them are exclusively for manufacturers to share with their top retailers and other major prospective buyers. That’s why a lot of new product information comes from retailers. They often hear of it well before we do and don’t have the same non-disclosure restrictions we often have. Seems kind of silly since the details make it onto the internet one way or the other, but that’s the way it often is!
I would love to attend the conference and expo. It’s painful to even read the offerings because I know I can’t leave the kids and go. How many carseat companies will be at the Expo? Do they only display seats not on the market? How exciting!! And the conference topics seem like they are cutting edge!
Ah Marvin. RIP dude. (Un)Fortunately, it’s the Toyota Tundra, the big truck we’ll be reviewing soon. I wish it was the Tacoma.
Dude, you need to channel Marvin from the great fish tank in the sky. Or buy yourself a new wise-ass fish. :p
Remember that tv show “Next American Inventor”?
What ever happened with that Gyro-shaped car seat that was a winner?
I thought one of the major car manufacturers had a contract with the show winner on this.
I like to see your take on just about everything. I don’t always read the vehicle reviews very closely (not even close to getting a new vehicle – I wish) but that’s mostly because I don’t always have time.
How about something on pedestrian safety? What to teach your kids about being a safe pedestrian? (Safe Kids has pedestrian safety info, but it would be nice to see it presented in your easy-to-use manner.)
keep up the good work! I love to see your takes on things.
and the sooner the better with the pria info. 🙂
We hope to do more hybrid reviews, including the Prius V. Heather has better luck with Toyota media review models than I do in Chicago, so hopefully she can obtain one this fall!
Looking forward to the upcoming reviews. Any chance you’ll be reviewing the 2012 Prius V?
I can’t wait to see what you write about the Mazda 5. hehe And the Tacoma. Such a thorn in the backside of carseats, depending on which cab version it is.
I tend to hang out on the forum, rather than the blog. Just not as much a blog person.
