Britax Trivia Quiz!

Happy New Year’s Eve!

This is a revised version of the quiz I posted last New Year’s Eve on the board. Don’t bother looking for that one cuz I deleted it!

This quiz is for anyone who thinks they are a Britax geek. Some questions are multiple choice and others are not. I’ll post the answers tomorrow. You get 5 points for each correct answer and NO CHEATING! LOL!

Happy Holidays from CarseatBlog.com

This is a simple note from Darren, Kecia, and Heather wishing you Happy Holidays!  Please travel safely and we hope the weather is kind to you :) .

Tree – 1, Shed – 0

Remember that nasty ice storm that hit the northeast recently?  Unfortunately, we woke up the morning after to this sight.  I did hear a loud crash in the middle of the night and jumped out of bed but couldn’t see anything in the dark.  Well, at least it was the shed and not the house.  I’m thankful for that.  And I’m thankful that it’s all being covered by insurance.  Still, it’s a royal pain to deal with this mess so close to the holidays.  Now it’s 10* F and we’re buried under 15″ of snow with more in the forecast.  Sigh… I’m sick of winter already and it’s barely begun.

PS – Marvin, the hardest working fish in the business, is taking a much-deserved break but he’ll be back in the new year.  Marvin wishes all his loyal fans a joyous holiday season and every happiness in the new year!

Last Minute Stocking Stuffers: Thermos Intak and Foogo Review

A while back, Heather wrote about Thermos Funtainers.  Today I have a few quick comments about the Thermos Intak Water Bottles and the Thermos Foogo Sippy Cup.

Not much you can say about water bottles.  They hold water.  The Intak does that well, and in fun colors, too.  The Intak also has a nice, wide spout that not only is easy for drinking, but big enough to fill under a faucet.  The locking top is resistant to 3-year olds.  It goes into a dishwasher with no problems.  It has a rotating bezel if you want to keep track of how many refills you drink.  When closed, it doesn’t spill.  It has a flip up loop for carrying or to attach to a pack.  It’s also narrow enough to fit into most mesh backpack pockets.  Not much else to say- it’s a nice water bottle you can get at Target for under $10.  Just keep in mind that it’s not insulated, so it won’t keep beverages hot or cold.

The Foogo is a sippy cup.  It keeps milk and juice cold, so it never goes to waste.  It cleans up in the dishwasher, also.  Again, simple and well made.  Ideal for cold drinks, but not recommended for hot ones.  No issues with dripping as we have with some of our other sippys.  The top screws firmly into place every time.  Seems to be very durable, too.  I even let my son take this one around the house, even if it has milk or juice in it!

They are BPA free and I highly recommend them both!  For more information, please visit www.thermos.com .

And the Winner is….

Marvin’s friend Elly is home from school on a snow day today. So, she agreed to write 116 number squares on paper and put them into a hat for us! Then, she mixed them all up (thoroughly!) and drew them out of a hat at random.  Meanwhile, Marvin’s person quickly scrolled down the blog to find the winners.  We now have three winners who all appear to meet the guidelines listed in the rules for our Britax Marathon Giveaway!  Who are they, you ask? Unfortunately, the video of the drawing that was online earlier was slowing the websites down a bit, so instead there is a photo of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize comment numbers, left-to-right.
